Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Inturna ("Inturna," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and services. By using Inturna, you agree to the practices described here. This policy is part of, and incorporated into, our User Agreement & Terms of Service.
1. Adults only โ 18 and older
Inturna is intended solely for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it and terminate the associated account. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us information, please contact us through our support page.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, name, and the password you create (passwords are stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider; we never see your plaintext password).
- Profile details you provide: such as your name, school (if you choose to provide it), selected practice fields, and plan selections.
- Usage content: the assignments you complete, interview responses and transcripts, files you upload, coding submissions, scores, feedback, skill progress, support messages, and reviews you choose to leave.
- Payment information: payment details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number; we store subscription status and processor identifiers needed to manage your plan.
- Technical information: information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, device and browser type, and connection data. We use IP addresses for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the service, and local preference storage for settings such as your theme and your cookie-banner choice. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent the service from working.
4. How we use your information
- To provide the service: create your account, generate and grade assignments and interviews, track your progress, and process subscriptions.
- To operate, secure, and improve Inturna, including reviewing usage and content to improve our AI prompts, features, and quality.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, including email normalization, blocking disposable email domains, rate limiting, and maintaining eligibility records described in our Refund Policy.
- To respond to support requests you submit and to send you service-related communications.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. AI processing of your content
Content you submit โ including assignment work, interview responses, and uploaded files โ is processed by third-party artificial-intelligence providers in order to generate and grade practice content and feedback. These providers process data under their own terms and security practices. We select established providers, but we do not control their internal practices.
6. We do not sell your personal data
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share personal data only as described in this policy.
Business transfers: if Inturna is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor as part of that transaction. Any successor will be required to honor this Privacy Policy or one that is materially consistent with it, and we will take reasonable steps to notify you of material changes in how your data is handled.
7. When we share information
- Service providers: with the infrastructure, database and authentication, hosting, payment, email, and AI providers that operate the service on our behalf.
- Legal reasons: where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Inturna, our users, or others.
- With your consent or at your direction.
- Business transfers, as described above.
8. Data security and its limits
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and rely on established third-party providers to store it securely. However, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is ever completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee that your data will never be accessed by an unauthorized party. By using Inturna, you acknowledge that, despite reasonable protections, a sufficiently capable attacker could gain unauthorized access to data, and that events of that kind are outside our control. We are not responsible for unauthorized access that occurs despite reasonable security measures. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure; please notify us promptly through our support page if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
9. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, security, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account data through our support page. Note that we may retain limited records even after deletion where reasonably necessary to enforce our policies and prevent abuse โ for example, a record that a particular email address has used its one free trial or has become ineligible under our Refund Policy โ and where retention is required by law.
10. Your rights and choices
You may access and update your account information from your account settings page, and you may request deletion of your data through our support page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (such as rights of access, correction, portability, or objection); we will honor the rights that apply to you. To exercise any of these, contact us through our support page.
11. International users
Inturna is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States or in other locations used by our service providers. By using the service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those where you live, subject to the Local law section below.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and we will take reasonable steps to notify you of significant changes. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Local law
All of our policies are contingent upon the laws that apply where you live. Where your local laws require different or additional protections, we will act in accordance with whatever is legal and required in your particular area. Where any part of this policy conflicts with mandatory local law, that local law controls.
